2026 Western Rite Conference

The bienniel conference of the Antiochian Western Rite Vicariate was held in Colorado from August 4--7, 2026. It was hosted by the parishes of St. Mark in Denver, St. Augustine in Denver, St. Columba in Lafayette, and the Monastery of Our Lady and Saint Laurence (who assisted at St. Mark's with set-up and cleaning).

The monks chanted Vespers and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament in St. Mark's on the 4th, Abbot Theodore officiating. This was the first time that the entire brotherhood was able to take part in one of these important conferences, and the first time we were able to have monastic vespers actually chanted by monks, as it is done at the monastery.

Abbot Theodore prepared the closing brunch on the 7th,  featuring an Italian-flavored bread and cheese casserole and fresh fruit, following a Latin Mass served by the Very Rev. John Fenton, Obl.SB, which was also held at St. Mark's.
