The bienniel conference of the Antiochian Western Rite Vicariate was held in Colorado from August 4--7, 2026. It was hosted by the parishes of St. Mark in Denver, St. Augustine in Denver, St. Columba in Lafayette, and the Monastery of Our Lady and Saint Laurence (who assisted at St. Mark's with set-up and cleaning). By the grace of God, on July 11, 2026, the Solemnity of St. Benedict, Abbot Theodore received the solemn Life Professions of two monks: Dom Arsenius (Wood) and Dom Alcuin (Thompson) during Mass in the Oratory of St. Laurence. This took place during the annual Oblate Retreat, which meant that we had a goodly sized congregation. Recent months have seen some positive developments for the brotherhood. A former novice, Br. Andrew has returned; two new novices have been received, Br. Clement and Br. Alcuin (formerly Br. James, Obl.SB .). Dom Placidus and novice Br. Miguelangelo were rec ieved from the Brazilian Catholic and Apostolic Church by chrismation and their transfers to our brotherhood as a probationer and a novice were received by Abbot Theodore.
