A Thank-you and a Prayer

Tomorrow being the last day of the year of our Lord, 2023, this seems a good time to offer a thank-you to all who have been our benefactors and friends in this waning year. While the first and foremost benefactor to whom we look is our God and Father, with his Son, and his Holy Spirit, we know that many of his benefactions come to us through others. We give special thanks to the Mother of God, Our Lady of Glastonbury and to St. Laurence the Deacon and Martyr, the Patrons of our Monastery and the Fellowship. We thank those who have supported us through their generous donations, their service, and their prayers. We cannot prosper and grow without all of you! We thank all who have come as guests and retreatants to share with us this beautiful and quiet place in the Rocky Mountains. We thank those who have challenged us to further growth, both interior and exterior. We have so much to be thankful for!

We apologize that, for some time now, we have not been able to process our customary, individualized "thank you" notes to those who have blessed us with a share of their resources. By God's mercy and grace, we hope to resume this practice in 2024. Please know that your donations, small or large, go a long way to making both the retreat ministry and the monastic brotherhood possible.

God being his helper, the Abbot hopes to produce a newsletter for the Feast of the Epiphany, which is coming soon! It has been too long. Meanwhile, know that all of you have been remembered in our prayers and at the Holy Altar on a regular basis, and especially in this holy Christmastide.

O most merciful Father, who of thy gracious goodness hast heard the devout prayers of thy Church, and turned our dearth and scarcity into abundance and plenty: We give the thanks for all thy gracious bounty, beseeching thee to continue thy loving kindness unto us; and to pour forth thy loving kindness upon all those, our benefactors and friends, who in thy Name have shared with us their goods and prayers, to thy honor and the welfare of this humble house. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with thee and the Holy Ghost livest and reignest world without end. Amen.
